AI x DATA SCIENCE
In June, we ran an analytics event with our friends from SYNTASA, looking at how AI and machine learning can be leveraged into a better understanding of the user experience and customer journey. We had speakers from Telegraph Media Group, Photobox, and Barclays who shared some practical lessons alongside helping the attendees learn how to predict what their customer will do next. It was a such a popular event we are hoping to run another before the year-end. Watch this space!
HURDLES AND OBSTACLES
In June, we were inspired to create a special event celebrating women in marketing and media. Some of our expert external speakers included Alison Kervin, the first female sports editor of a national newspaper, Adizah Tejani, one of the few senior marketing women in the startup world of fintech, Jo Arscott, Britain’s first black female Advertising Creative Director and Deb Khan, an expert on leadership programmes and helping women in the workplace. All four shared their personal career stories in an inspiring and hilarious fashion.
PRE LAUNCH SEMINAR
In May 2018, we focused on the crucial planning stage of the launch marketing process, with special guest speakers of Ben Richardson, Global Director of Marketing of Stanley Black & Decker, and Adizah Tejani, Marketing Director of Token. This was a highly engaging and interactive session with Steve Quirke, Head of Strategy at YFS, explaining our approach to the pre-launch process.
LAUNCH MARKETING FOR START-UPS
In March 2018, we united with Bright Network to host a talk and workshop on Launch Marketing for Startups, with conversations around 'culture-fit' and building startups that are driven by purpose. The afternoon was led by Jamie Brooker of We Are Human and Kahoot!, Ben Triggs of Bright Network and our very own Head of Strategy, Steve Quirke.
Jan 2018 Product Launch Seminar
Our January 2018 Product Launch Seminar was an intimate affair which solely focused on the processes and principles for a successful product launch. Ben Carter, Marketing Director of Just Eat, delivered a lesson on their rebranding and the team from LoopMe joined the seminar to discuss how they launched their model.
This yearly event is an exploration into the future of digital marketing, featuring topics such as creative solutions in the retail space and the practical application of advancing technology. Speakers included the Co-Founder of STEAM, the author Ad Man, the Founder of Only Dead Fish and several others.
2014’s Digital Annexe University event was a dream for every tech-lover. Featuring L J Rich, the event covered Oculus Rift experiences, iBeacon solutions, Google Glass experiments and real-time data science in action, in front of an audience of strategists, marketers, anthropologists, futurologists and many more.
